Paradise Valley area caregiver turns family experience into a mission to help seniors

Leigh Harris-Avril didn't plan on a career in senior care. Then her mom had a stroke. Now she spends her days giving other families the same relief hers once needed.

The family leaned on CNAs, nurses and caregivers to get through it. That experience sent Leigh back to school at Paradise Valley Community College to earn her CNA license, and into a decade-long career with The Perfect Companion.

"It gives a tremendous richness to my life to be able to help families like others helped our family."
