With a heart for service and a passion for care, LaDwyina Walls—affectionately known as “Lady”—has dedicated her life to ensuring the well-being of others. The nickname “Boss Lady” was given to her by patients 30 years ago because of her ability to keep everything running smoothly while showing deep compassion for those she serves.
Lady’s journey in caregiving began at just 13 years old when her mother underwent a triple bypass. As her caregiver, she quickly learned CPR, first aid, and medication management—skills that became the foundation of her lifelong commitment to healthcare. She earned her CNA certification 30 years ago and has kept it active ever since. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, further solidifying her expertise in the field.
Throughout her career, Lady has touched nearly every area of healthcare. She has managed a home health agency, served as a Facility Administrator for a dialysis company, and was instrumental in establishing Tennessee’s first Home Dialysis program. As a Death Doula, her compassion extends beyond life, as she provides comfort and support to individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. Her experience working in funeral homes from a young age taught her the importance of walking alongside those who are grieving with empathy and care.
Now, as the Care Service Manager at Perfect Companion, Lady continues her mission of providing exceptional care. She believes in supporting not just the patient, but their entire family, ensuring comfort, dignity, and peace of mind. She cares for all people in need, including her 104-year-old grandmother, whom she cherishes every opportunity to be with.
For Lady, caregiving is more than a career—it is a ministry. With God at the center of her life, she sees her work as a calling to serve His people with love, grace, and compassion.
